The short version

The Meridian collects as little as possible. This is a demonstration site; it does not run advertising trackers and does not sell data.

What we store

Your reading meter, saved articles, FIVES game state, and streak are stored in your browser's local storage. If you create an account, a display name and your game stats are stored against an anonymous visitor identity on the site platform — never an email or password, because we don't ask for one.

Newsletters

If you sign up for a newsletter, the email address you provide is stored so a send could be delivered. In this demonstration, no real email is sent.

Cookies & local storage

We use local storage for your meter, streak, and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Your control

You can clear your local data at any time from your browser, and reset the demo meter from any paywall screen.
